Dr. Parhiz did his medical school training at St. Louis University School of Medicine and went on to do his ophthalmology residency at SUNY at Stony Brook and completed his fellowship in medical and surgical retina at the University of North Carolina. His medical interests include various degenerative macular and peripheral retinal conditions, diabetic retinopathy, and retinal vascular occlusive diseases. He enjoys surgical management of retinal detachment, macular edema, subretinal hemorrhage, epiretinal membrane, secondary IOL placement, symptomatic floaters, and more. In his spare time he enjoys traveling, soccer, tennis, and trail running.
